Searching for any information on Harrison Caldwell born to Edward and Isabella (nee Harrison) in 1817 in Gainsborough and sentenced to Death, (commuted to Transportation) on 21 July 1832 charged with breaking into the dwelling house of Mrs Dickinson of Morton and stealing two brass candelesticks and other articles.
Harrison's life in Australia is well documented; not much information about the family before his transportation.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thank you.
Sue

Hi Sue. I am interested in this Harrison person. I stumbled across the name which is listed in a pamphlet detailing former convicts in Lincoln (England). He is listed with the same spelling surname as myself CAWDELL. Apparently he was transported to Van Diemans Land (Tasmania) aged 17, on 21 July 1832, on the ship 'Surrey'. What more information do you have. Please email me on lukecawdell@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks
Luke
